Aunt Clara's Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cakes yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 6 eggs
  • 10 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Instructions
 

  • Bring milk to scald; let cool. When lukewarm, add sugar and yeast.
  • While yeast is dissolving, beat 6 room-temperature eggs. Add to yeast mixture.
  • Add 10 cups of flour.
  • Knead the dough. When it is like rubber in consistency, cover with dish towel and let rise for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Punch down the dough. Let rise again.
  • Put dough on floured surface and shape into loaves or rolls.
  • Put in pans and let rise again.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes (?)
